The UK is ready to advance with employing the entire amount of frozen Russian holdings to support Ukraine's war effort, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has stated.

In a joint statement, the heads of state of the UK, France, and Germany asserted that this joint measure would heighten pressure on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and urge Russia to engage in negotiations.

UK restrictions have blocked more than £25bn of Russia's resources since the Russian government launched its widespread offensive against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Sir Keir assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, France, and Germany were united in their desire to push forward toward utilizing the total worth of the frozen Moscow's national holdings to halt hostilities.

This announcement follows EU representatives gathered in Copenhagen last week to consider using frozen Russia's funds for a €140 billion loan to the Ukrainian nation.
