Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Sports Personality Prize

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
These three athletes have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.
This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18th.
The event will be aired from seven in the evening GMT.
The Football Star

Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the best young player in Europe.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in sensational style as - while still 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Being nominated for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Perrin's Profile

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin finished second in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
