No sense of normalcy about numerous doctors arriving back from a sea of ruins with accounts of children being systematically aimed at.
A Living Nightmare Despite a Supposed Ceasefire
The Gaza Strip continues to be a profound humanitarian disaster. Vital medicines and equipment are being blocked those in need, and international watchdogs contend that violations are continuing. Officials rejects these claims, just as it denies all charges it is implicated in. Eurovision reaches its seventieth anniversary next year – nearly twice the average life expectancy of an individual in Gaza today. The event will proceed, but it will likely never recapture the pure, unadulterated fun it once represented. A contest that was originally built on togetherness has transformed into a blatant mechanism to provide a cultural veneer for conflict.
