European Leaders Decry US Action as ‘Intimidation’
Officials from Europe including the French president accused Washington of “coercion and intimidation”, following the travel bans targeted figures that were central to efforts to enact legislation governing US-based technology firms.
“For far too long, European activists have led organised efforts to coerce American platforms to punish US perspectives they disagree with,” stated a senior US official online. “The current administration will not stand for these egregious acts of censorship beyond its borders.”
