The Congressional oversight panel has made public a batch of around 70 photographs obtained from the property of late adjudicated sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the third publication from a cache of over 95,000 images the body has acquired from Epstein's estate. It contains pictures of quotes from the book Lolita inscribed across a woman's body, and obscured images of female foreign passports.

This action occurs mere hours before the December 19th due date for the Department of Justice to make public every documents associated with its inquiry into Epstein.

"These new photographs bring up more questions about what exactly the Justice Department has in its holdings," said the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Images Disclosed

A number of the photographs published on recently depict Epstein conversing with academic and activist Noam Chomsky inside a private jet; Bill Gates positioned alongside a woman whose features is redacted; Steve Bannon sitting at a desk opposite Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the latest affluent, powerful figures to be seen in Epstein property photos released by the committee - formerly released photos also show US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, previous US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Being pictured in the photographs is is not considered indication of any wrongdoing, and many of the pictured individuals have asserted they were not implicated in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a statement issued alongside the photograph release, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate did not provide explanatory details or timeframes for the pictures.

"Photographs were chosen to provide the American people with transparency into a illustrative selection of the images received from the estate, and to give insights into Epstein's associates and his profoundly troubling behavior," the statement states.

The disclosure also contains a number of photos of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita inscribed in ink across several locations of a woman's body, including her torso, foot, hip, and back. Lolita tells the story of a minor who was manipulated by a older literature professor.

An example of a quote from the book written across a woman's chest says, "Lolita: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the roof of the mouth to alight, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a number of photographs of women's travel documents and official papers from nations worldwide, such as Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the information on the documents, including names and dates of birth, is redacted but the House Oversight Committee stated in a statement that the passports pertain to "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were interacting with".

A further photo shows Epstein seated at a table closely in the company of three female figures whose features have been redacted - one individual has her hand on Epstein's upper body under his shirt, and a second is crouching to look at a adjacent laptop. Epstein seems to be aiding the third put on a wristband.

A further photo made public is a screenshot of digital messages from an unknown sender who says they have been sent "some girls" and are requesting "$1000 per girl".

Photograph Disclosure Comes Ahead of DOJ Due Date

The body has many thousands of photos in its custody from the Epstein holdings, which are "both graphic and everyday," its announcement on this week noted.

The House Oversight Committee first legally compelled the property of Epstein, who passed away in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on allegations of human trafficking, in August.

The photos and documents the Epstein property submitted to the committee are distinct from what is largely termed "Epstein-related records". That material are documents within the Department of Justice's custody associated with its own probe into Epstein.

Pursuant to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which President Trump enacted in November, the DOJ has until 19 December to disclose its records. The full nature of what is contained in the DOJ's documents is unclear, and it's likely that a significant portion of the content will be extensively redacted, akin to the committee's releases
