The Soldiers Table Introduced
Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of characters who will split off from the primary party to begin their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.
Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.
What Defines the Combat Party
Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem out of place, but the developments of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
First, the team understands precisely where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose death initiated the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.
The antagonist then paid off his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above the urban center, with Cyd close behind.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each character has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants retribution.
- Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a nasty place.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the group reach places they usually can’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that control the city for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- Teor is wanted dead by the clan.
This means them few options but to travel to the northern region in quest for Casimir.
Upcoming Developments
Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the cast members to form the Questers and Schemers parties.
Viewers can expect learning which players will be where in the season’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
