Week 10 once more provided excitement, with a huge upset for the Bills proving the 'any given Sunday' saying that draws so many fans into the National Football League

That result could have created things up for the New England Patriots to move back into a leading position they used to occupy, with a remaining games that gives them an edge over their eight and two rivals

Meanwhile in the National Football Conference the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to set up a monster clash in week 11, while our player of the week is chasing records as well as the Most Valuable Player award

Analysis - Simply an Off Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Was Josh Allen attempt too much or could it simply have been a poor performance for Buffalo?

Was it just an emotional letdown from defeating Kansas City last week or something more? This remains the question for the Buffalo team to answer

The Bills had won seven in a row against the Dolphins but were second best from the start as the Miami team ran out 30-13 victors in an eye-opening result - and performance

MVP Josh Allen only got the team's initial first down in the third quarter and first points in the fourth - yes the Dolphins had ten days to prepare but it was still a massive egg produced by one of the NFL's top offences

Dolphins quarterback Tua threw two touchdowns but running back De'Von Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 combined yards and two scores

Containing the league's best running game was also key, with James Cook and company registering just eighty-six yards, their fewest of the season and just over half their 161.5-yard average

Then there were the three crucial turnovers, and the two from Allen in particular. An pass caught by defense in the scoring area meaning a nine-minute drive produced nothing, and his final quarter dropped ball that Miami turned into a touchdown just later

It was classic 'previous Bills teams' as they shot themselves in the foot, getting into a deficit on defense and Allen attempting to do too much to dig his team from the situation - rather than the composed, controlled, well-balanced Bills we've seen this season

The Dolphins have demonstrated a bit of everything this year so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the beginning of a trend, but for the Bills they'll require an instant response in a tough game against the Buccaneers in week 11 as the Patriots are sneaking into a nice lead at the summit of the American Football Conference East

Spotlight - New England Identify Route to Unexpected First Place

Speaking of the New England, they're one of three different 8-2 teams in the NFL, all AFC sides, but are they the top team?

You can find flaws in New England, the Broncos and the Colts really for feasting on the lesser sides, with just five of their total twenty-four victories achieved against opponents with a positive record - and one of those was the Colts defeating the Broncos

The Broncos defeated the reigning champion Eagles in Philly and are kings of the fourth-quarter while Indy can ride Jonathan Taylor, but the Patriots adding Sunday's victory in Tampa Bay to their prime time win in Orchard Park seems like a statement

Their two defeats came in recently appointed coach Vrabel's initial three contests, with seven consecutive victories, just like Denver, since then - but taking down Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a bye to prepare was significant

Maye's MVP claims won't go away, and he definitely earns point for bravery after absorbing some savage hits in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to guide his team to victory

The defense is reliable and rookie running back Henderson exploded on game day with 147 yards and two exciting touchdowns of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - establishing himself as just the fifth ball carrier to exceed 22 miles per hour this season on his first score

Although you can argue who 'the best' is statistically, the Patriots should be favourites to finish with the top record thanks to their schedule - which features just one game against a winning team, although a huge one against the Bills

Traveling to the Ravens is also tough, but the Broncos have it more difficult in the AFC West division with the Chiefs to play twice, the Los Angeles Chargers (who could also challenge for first place but face the same problem) and additionally the Packers on the fixture list

The Colts also play the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two games with the five and four Jacksonville to contend with. There is a long way to travel but the door is available for a surprise top seed in the American Football Conference

Next Week - Rams & Seahawks Set for Next Week Clash

Both squads with strong arguments to be better than all of the three different 8-2 sides are NFC West rivals the Seahawks and Rams, who both put up 40 burgers to go to 7-2 before next week's major game between the two in LA

Both have won four in a row, have quarterbacks in Matthew Stafford and Darnold performing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with excellent pass catchers, and defensive units giving up fewer than twenty points a contest

Both could realistically be undefeated as well - especially the Rams as their two defeats occurred in overtime against the 49ers and then that painful defeat in Philadelphia when they had a potentially winning kick with the final play blocked and run back by the Eagles for a touchdown

Seattle also lost to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in week one, before losing to the final play of the game against the Buccaneers - so they're genuinely two of the best sides in the league

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the year so far

Top Performer - Jonathan Taylor

Taylor could be on for a record season after his remarkable performance in Germany - rushing for 244 yards, registering three touchdowns and adding another forty-two {receiving yards
